The team is no doubt hoping lightning will strike twice as they leave the fantasy world behind for this grimdark sci-fi setting. That said, those hoping to see Vermintide 3 in the near future may have a long wait ahead of them with Fatshark currently focusing its efforts on taking their four player co-op formula to the far future in Warhammer 40,000: Darktide. We revisited Vermintide 2 recently and had a fantastic time once again. Further Reading: Vermintide 2 is still the best Warhammer action game ever Anyone that also owns Vermintide 1 or 2 (and presumably this free to keep download counts) will get the free DLC. If you are a Vermintide owner, then you’ll get a free Devoted Rejects Pack of cosmetics for Darktide. There will at least be the second level after Trail of Treachery, but you’d expect them to shift resources to keep supporting the Dark Millennium successor.
It’s not clear how much longer this content train will continue, with Fatshark close to the release of Warhammer 40,000: Darktide on 30th November – pre-orders can play early with a beta on 17th November.
